New Website?

Hello there, lovely kittens!

So Scribe Cat may have a new look, but we have all the same features and then some. For anyone paying attention, the website was hosted on Wix originally, but we’ve switched to Squarespace. It is a little more expensive on paper, but hopefully less so in the time and effort it takes to post a blog!

I will say this: The Squarespace website editor is not for the faint of heart (options are not where I think they’ll be). I read SiteBuilderReport’s article comparing Squarespace and Wix to Mac and PC (anyone else get those old Justin Long/John Hodgman ads in their heads just now?)…and that could not have been more accurate. Wix was definitely more flexible and user friendly; but it does add up to some janky behaviour. However, for my purposes, Squarespace made more sense. I need a decent blog, forms that work, and a mobile site that won’t explode whenever I add a new post. I was spending way too much time worrying over my website instead of creating content and helping others with their work.

So…fingers crossed this works.
